Leeds Metropolitan University

A large bulk of my work comes from my time at University. Here I produced a large bulk of audio work as well as other projects in C++ Programming, Virtools and interactive media design. I was engaged with both standard course work as well as extra curicular and voluntary work.

During my time at university I was taught by and worked with industry names such asRay Russell, John Ainsworth and Big Finish Productions, Forward Russia and Dance To The Radio Records.

South Asian Arts - UK

In a collaboration with Leeds Met University and South Asian Arts – UK,

I worked as recording engineer for noted Indian classical musicians. I recorded 4 pieces, some group performances and some solo recordings.

SRG Unlimited

I have worked with SRG unlimited, mixing and producing the radio drama “That’ll be the Stardust” . The project is sanctioned by and  based on a work by Ray Connolly and Lord David Puttnam.

The work is an hour-long radio play written by Tony Marshall and performed by a full original cast. I worked with the recording engineer Mark Tucker

D. Preston Productions (FPI) Freelance Work

I produce work for many small clients and for my own developmental portfolio. To this end I have set up my own home production studio (under the name of FPI Studios), complete with electronic drums, vocal recording capabilities, and 5.1 surround sound monitoring.

I have been monitoring live sound in churches for many years and have set-up stage sound and lighting for pantomimes and concert events.

I have produced graphics, logos and promotional materials for many organisations, including Liverpool schools, the Venture Scout movement and for Manchester Rag.
